October!

Hello! OCTOBER is here and I could not be more excited to welcome my favorite month. Chris and I will watch at least one horror movie a day in October to lead up to our House of A Thousand Scorpios Halloween party. The movie list will include classics, newbies, and of course B and C horror flicks. I will keep you posted about what we are watching and then perhaps make a top ten list about them.
First up is Dracula with Anthony Hopkins and... Keanu Reeves?

Here is a top ten list of my favorite things about fall:
10. Mums

They are so pretty and they come in purple!! Plus, they are described as hardy and how often do you hear that word anymore?

9. Great Pete and Pete watching time
Halloweenie, my favorite.

8. Fall Fairs
Warwick Applefest, my favorite

7. Skull slippers
these are so warm and badass, I think about them on the train home from work.

6. Pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING
Pumpkin flavored coffee, pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, the works!
Taken at Pochuck Farms in Vernon

5. The smell of Fall air/everything looks beautiful in fall
It is so crisp and so fresh. I recommend traveling to Northwest New Jersey to get a good whiff. NJ is gorgeous this time of year with its lakes reflecting the changing of the leaves.
I took this picture last year in Vernon, NJ.

4. Caramel apples

3.Crunching acorn tops with the heel of my foot

2. Sweater weather
Cable knit/ really cute sweaters are among the few things I will actually splurge/spend money on. I really really hate spending money on clothes but a good comfy sweater is well worth scraping up some dough for.

1. Halloween, duh!

Why, Hello!

It's been a while, mighty bloggo. I have since started a new blog, but fear not, I have not betrayed you. New blog is to keep up with my acting stuff, while this will be more for whackyness and whatnot.
My favorite holiday is approaching! And of course I am speaking about HALLOWEEN!!! I am tying to decide what I will be for Halloween since we are throwing A House Of A Thousand Scorpios Halloween and Birthday Party. It should be amazing.
Here is what I am thinking:
1. ye Olde Standby: Aquaman. I have been Aquaman about 4 times, including an awesome summertime Super Hero party. Pictured Below with The Green Lantern and Storm and also Captain Obvious.

If I want to take a more modest approach to Aquaman, I will wear this. I like this option because I will wear that sweatshirt all of the freaking time!!!!

2.Joy Turner
We can go the ol' cutesy route and have a couples costume where Chris will be Earl (in his Mustachioed Glory) and I will be Joy.
Benefits: I get to wear fake blonde hair, huge plastic earrings and speak in a Southern Dialect, drink tons of beer, and call everyone "Dummy".

3.A bumblebee. No picture required. And no sexy bumblebee, either, a big, round, happy and unassuming bumblebee you want to have hanging around in your garden. Ie-the male costume version. However, is 60 bucks at target so that isn't gonna happen.

Any suggestions?

Big News Wayback machine on Itunes

Hey, y'all

I did some vocal work with the Wayback Machine which came out a few months ago on itunes. It is now doing pretty well, so check it out. There are a few bands with the same name on there, so by all means, check all of them out, however, I am referring to the album Digging in The Wrong Place. Mostly covers- Polar Opposites by Modest Mouse, some Cash, Deathcab, and also some originals.

At this point, only the Mp3's are for sale online, but if you wish to have a hardcopy, send me your address and I will be delighted to send you one.

peace and cheese,
Kalor

World!

World, hello!

I haven't posted since April. Wow. Since then I have been working and auditioning like a maniac so I apologize if any of you actually missed my posts.

I will post more frequently this summer since my nanny job is on hiatus.

cheers!

What time is it?

One thing I am having a hard time getting used to as an aspiring actress is the irregular sleep schedules. Waking up at 2 am to get a 4am train then auditioning at 10am and getting a noon train back to get to my house around 1pm really kills me. Of course, I got to get my ass out there and get at these open calls early enough to be seen, but man oh man does it do a number to my body. I should mention that I have the strange inability to sleep during the daytime. Crazy, right? I mean, if I am extremely hung over or terribly sick, my body will drop off, but not if it is so tired it is on the verge of death. Yesterday, for example, I went in for the Spiderman call at 5.30am. I had 2 hours of sleep and didn't get home until 2pm, and yet I just couldn't fall asleep. All the shitty reality TV couldn't put me down. I even had my husband there to cuddle and tuck me in, and nothing. "Nope, it's daytime! I can't sleep yet!" Said my self to myself. I finally DID fall asleep last night around 11pm. But today I am still suffering and look like dog ass. I can barely move my joints and am terrified of growing old if this is what I have to look forward to. Ha. It's noon and I have no idea what is going on.
